Standardbred Equine Center

Freedom Hill Farms is an Standardbred equine facility in the Midwest.  We specialize in breeding, raising, and selling harness horses.

Our mission is to produce quality horses for regional and national markets.

Established in 1975 south of Charleston, Illinois the main farm was relocated northeast of Watseka, Illinois in 1979.

Jim started riding and driving horses 69 years ago on his backyard pony in Central Illinois. Nancy grew up near Arlington Park Race Track and developed a love for horses racing. Standardbreds provided a hands-on approach which she wanted to be a part of in her future. Keith and Kristopher learned about farm life driving tractors, baling hay, and caring for horses. Grand kids Noah, Liam, Jack, and Claire are eager to help feed and care for horses too.

Freedom Hill Farms is a two generation family owned operation.  One of our goals is to accomplish our mission to produce better and better races horses.
